African Beer Pot
These pots are made from clay. After
being decorated they are put through
a series of firing. For various colours
animal fats are used. The first firing
is to harden the clay and the second
firing is to blacken the pot.
The
larger pots are used when making the
traditional African beer and the smaller
ones are filled with the beer and
will be used as a drinking pot from
which everyone will drink out of.
