The Zulu people are the largest tribe of African People living in South Africa. They originate from the South East region of South Africa, now known as Kwa Zulu Natal. Traditionally it is the women who make these products while the men work seek work in the mines and in all the other industries. However, with unemployment being a huge problem, especially in the rural areas, it is the women who are using their traditional skills as art form, and are becoming more important, as in many instances they are now the sole breadwinners for their families.
